WASHINGTON DC – During Monday’s hearing convened by the House Judiciary Committee, Congressman Darrell Issa introduced two amendments that would spotlight the Biden Administration’s practice of flooding communities with illegal migrants and spotlight its hypocrisy in forcing Americans – but not illegal migrants – to receive the Covid vaccine.
Following the Judiciary Democrats’ blocking both amendments, Congressman Issa said:
“The American people are more than aware that President Biden is mandating vaccines for Americans while exempting those illegally flooding our borders and being released into our communities without notice. And they want the hypocrisy to end,” said Congressman Issa.
The first amendment includes a non-citizen Covid vaccine mandate, which would ban the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from adjusting the status of non-citizens until the department can verify and report to Congress that all non-citizens admitted are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
The second amendment prohibits the funds collected from this bill from being used to transport aliens to a destination other than a detention center without the DHS providing 36-hour notice where aliens are being transported. DHS does not currently provide this notice, and immigrants are routinely dropped off in communities across the country without warning.
Darrell Issa is the Representative of California’s 50th Congressional District. The District encompasses the central and northeastern parts of San Diego County and a portion of Riverside County, including the communities of Fallbrook, San Marcos, Valley Center, Ramona, Escondido, Santee, Lakeside, El Cajon, Temecula, and the mountain and desert areas of the San Diego-Imperial County line. Issa served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform from 2011-2015.
