MIL OSI Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Russian and Belarusian paratroopers, having carried out practical parachuting from Il-76MD military transport aircraft, delivered 39 pieces of equipment and about 400 combined battalion to the landing site at the Brestsky training ground in the Republic of Belarus as part of the joint strategic exercise “West-2021”.

After capturing the landing site, the subunits settled on the defensive line designated by the command.

As part of the task of using tactical airborne assault, the battalion of the Pskov airborne assault formation of the Russian Airborne Forces, having made a flight from the take-off airfield, Kresty landed at a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers from a height of 600 meters using D-10 parachute systems.

Servicemen of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus made a load at the Machulishchi airfield near Minsk and joined the combat formation of the VTA aircraft approaching the drop point. Using D-6 parachutes, units of Belarusian paratroopers landed at the destination point of touchdown. Airborne teams of paratroopers left the aircraft at intervals of one minute.

The actions of the tactical airborne assault blocked three bridges over the water barrier, which did not allow the imaginary enemy to interfere with the actions of our troops and ensured the deployment of motorized rifle units in the interests of using the main Russian-Belarusian group of forces at the range.
