Watermelons and melons are supplied to Moscow counters this year from Krasnodar, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don and Dagestan.
Domestic watermelons and melons are being sold in Moscow. From August 3 to October 1, 250 melons and gourds will be placed in the city. Last year there were 240 of them.

Most of the melons and gourds appeared in the southern and southwestern administrative districts of the city. More than 20 retail outlets will operate there from August to September.
This year, melons and gourds are supplied to the capital’s counters from Krasnodar, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don and Dagestan. Each batch undergoes a study, during which the content of various trace elements is checked. The conclusion of Rospotrebnadzor remains on the melons and gourds, it can be used to determine the date of the study and the place where the goods were brought from.
The outlets are decorated in the same style, which has been used since 2015 and is already familiar to the townspeople. On the sites there are stands indicating the operating hours and prices of goods, as well as product certificates and a complaint book. All sellers are wearing special uniforms. They are allowed to work only if they have a medical record.
It is forbidden to place melons and gourds on lawns, in arches of buildings, less than 50 meters from technical structures and ground lobbies of metro stations, on the sides of the carriageway of city highways. In addition, watermelons and melons cannot be weighed with a steelyard, household, medical and postal scales, it is not allowed to cut the product or sell its individual parts.
