In the capital of the Trans-Baikal Territory – the city of Chita, with the participation of military personnel of formations and military units of the Eastern Military District (VVO), an agitation and propaganda campaign “We are the army of the country! We are the army of the people! ” within the framework of the thematic “Train of Victory” of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

At the Chita-2 railway station, guests were greeted with traditional bread and salt. A solemn meeting on the occasion of the train’s arrival was opened by the head of the train, Colonel Igor Sokol, as well as representatives of the regional and city administrations.

The guests of the action examined the exhibits of the traveling exhibition. In 17 thematic cars, residents of the city were able to get acquainted with interactive exhibitions and exhibits reflecting the heroic pages of the history of Russia, the latest achievements of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the development of the youth army movement and the work of military doctors during the pandemic.

Samples of modern military equipment – Typhoon-K armored vehicles, T-90M tank, Coalition-SV self-propelled guns, as well as military trophies brought from the Syrian Arab Republic – Hammer-1 armored vehicles and “Panther”.

In total, over 1,000 servicemen of formations and military units deployed in the Trans-Baikal Territory took part in the action.

Large-scale all-Russian military-patriotic action “We are the army of the country! We are the army of the people! ” started on April 25 from the Kievsky railway station in Moscow. During the movement, the train travels across the country and makes stops in 51 cities. The action will end on June 27 with festive events in the Patriot park near Moscow.
