Urban areas host more than 50% of the world population and generate ~80% of GDP globally, contributing significantly to resource consumption and GHGs emissions. Circular economy – especially in the form of a circular urban regeneration – can be a key lever to tackle these challenges.

Within this framework, the JICE will hold a webinar on 9th June 2021 on challenges and opportunities of shifting cities towards a more circular development model.

This is the second in a series of circular economy webinars offered by the Joint Initiative on Circular Economy (JICE) that will address topics relevant to the circular transition in the EU. The next webinar will be held during Autumn 2021.
