Aberdeen City Council have commenced a public consultation on the proposed relocation of Dyce Public Library.

The proposal seeks to relocate the library from its current setting at Riverview Drive to a purpose built, new setting within Dyce Community Centre on Gordon Terrace. The project team are seeking the views of the local public before taking a final decision.

The proposed relocation of Dyce Library to a new build within Dyce Community Centre would enhance community empowerment by bringing together valuable services to the area within one single location. This forms part of the Library and Community Learning strategy and feeds into the aims of the Council’s Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP).

Councillor Marie Boulton, Aberdeen City Council’s culture spokeswoman said, “We are keen to get feedback from members of the local Dyce community and wider communities on the location and design of a new site for Dyce Library within the existing Dyce Community Centre.”

The consultation runs until Friday 26 March. To comment on the proposals, interested parties should visit:
