MIL-OSI Russia: The crews of the army aviation of the Southern Military District in the Kuban began flying in adverse weather conditions

MIL OSI Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

The crews of the Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopters and the Mi-8AMTSh multipurpose helicopters of the Southern Military District (YuVO) aviation regiment, based in the Krasnodar Territory, began to work out elements of simple and complex piloting in difficult meteorological conditions.

When performing flight missions, the pilots of the Mi-8AMTSh transport and assault helicopters improve their professional skills when performing flights “under the curtain” – air maneuvers are performed on instruments under conditions of artificial limitation of visibility.

The crews of the Southern Military District will work out the issues of air navigation, climb and descent, turns, flights on a given route and landing approach.

The flight personnel of the Ka-52 attack helicopters are improving their skills in air combat as part of a flight.

Particular attention will be paid to the coherence of the crews’ actions, the performance of air maneuvers aimed at misleading a simulated enemy, striking its positions, and covering helicopters performing combat turns after striking.

Performing flights as part of an aviation link is one of the most difficult elements of flight training and requires maximum professionalism from the flight crew.
