The crews of the Ka-27 deck-based anti-submarine helicopters of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation conducted planned exercises to search, track and destroy a simulated enemy submarine in the naval range of the fleet.

During the exercise, the crews of the Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopters completed the tasks of searching, detecting, classifying, maintaining contact and tracking, as well as countering a simulated enemy submarine using various anti-submarine weapon systems.

According to the plan of the exercise, in one of the areas in the naval range of the fleet, a simulated enemy submarine is presumably located.

To detect the target, helicopters of the Ka-27 naval aviation fleet were sent to the indicated square of the sea, where the crews worked out the tasks of searching and tracking the submarine with the integrated use of radar and sonar equipment. After detecting and determining the coordinates of the submarine, the pilots destroyed a special simulated underwater target using air bombs.

The flights and practical bombing were carried out along the established route over the water area of ​​the sea range of the Baltic Fleet.
