Despite being a nation of romantics, Aussies are Sensible spenders according to new research from CommBank Rewards
Thursday, 11 February 2021 – New research from CommBank Rewards found 64 per cent of Australians consider themselves to be romantics, with nearly half of people hunting for bargains to show their affection.
According to the research – commissioned by CBA’s loyalty program offering cashback to customers for their everyday shopping – 51 per cent of Australians say they are romantic, depending on the circumstances, while 13 per cent consider themselves true romantics.
42 per cent of Australians intend to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year. And for those splashing out on gifts, the research shows Australians intend to spend an average of $95 on their Valentine, including dining out.
