The government council today assessed the situation and discussed the next steps in connection with the intended opening of the inns in the canton of Uri. In the run-up to the decision, he also held various discussions with industry representatives.
The epidemiological situation is not easing too quickly for the inns to be able to reopen in the next few days. On January 5, 2020, the government council will examine whether this step can possibly take place on the following weekend.
Companies that offer food and drinks as takeaways in ski areas will be granted the first relief from December 31, 2020, 7:00 a.m.: They may again offer seats in outside areas. A maximum of 4 people can sit per table and a distance of 1.5 meters is required between the guest groups. With the exception of using the toilet and getting in and out of the transport facilities, it is still prohibited to stay indoors. The protection concepts of the catering industry must be observed in any case. The alcohol ban on ski slopes will be lifted again on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at midnight.
