Order of December 28, 2020 No. 3581-r

Manufacturers of flour, bread and bakery products are partially compensated for the costs of purchasing grain and selling finished products. The order on the allocation of funds for these purposes was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

4.7 billion rubles will be allocated to support millers and bakers. Of this, 2.9 billion rubles will be spent on the purchase of food wheat and 1.8 billion rubles – to pay compensation to bakery enterprises. The funds will go to regional budgets and will help keep prices for bread and bakery products at an acceptable level.

The decision approved by Mikhail Mishustin is part of a set of measures to reduce food prices, developed by the Government on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Earlier, the head of state indicated that it is necessary to respond in a timely manner to the rise in prices for basic products.

To solve this problem, the Government raised duties on a number of agricultural products, including wheat, sunflower, rapeseed, approved the rules for supporting millers and bakers, ensured the conclusion of special agreements on price stabilization between market participants and regulators.

For a prompt response to the situation a working group was also created under the leadership of First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov.
