Over 500 members of the Yunarmiya military-patriotic public movement of the Voronezh, Kursk, Belgorod, Smolensk and Bryansk regions received New Year gifts from servicemen of the combined arms army of the Western Military District.

Yunarmeytsy were congratulated on the territory of general educational institutions, where festive performances, New Year contests, as well as parting words of officers of the combined-arms army of the Western Military District, representatives of the government of municipal districts and veterans were organized. During the events, members of the Yunarmiya movement took part in competitions for assembling and disassembling a Kalashnikov assault rifle for speed, equipped stores, and also learned how to provide first aid.

In connection with the sanitary and epidemiological situation in some municipalities, the servicemen congratulated the Yunarmey individually at home in the costumes of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, observing all the necessary recommendations.

Also, members of the Yunarmiya movement took part in the New Year’s actions “New Year’s Miracle for Everyone” and “New Year’s Windows”, during which they congratulated passers-by, the elderly and children in difficult life situations in orphanages and boarding schools.

Earlier, servicemen of the combined arms army of the Western Military District congratulated Nikolai Nikolayevich Borisov, a 96-year-old veteran of the Great Patriotic War from the city of Voronezh, on the New Year 2021, who was awarded four orders: the Patriotic War of the first and second degrees, the Red Star and “For Service to the Motherland in the USSR Armed Forces” of the third degree.
