Another 40 million rubles of subsidies were given to Russian companies for the promotion of audiovisual and IT products abroad until 2022. In particular, RVV Film received more than 20 million rubles, and KD Studios and STV Film Company received more than 20 million rubles (in addition to the previous tranches) for the promotion of audiovisual and IT products abroad until 2022. Most of the subsidies were issued earlier in October.

In total, by the end of 2020, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, together with the Russian Export Center, as part of state support for the IT and media industry, by the end of 2020, concluded 13 agreements with companies for 300 million rubles to promote audiovisual and IT products abroad until 2022.

The projects being implemented will allow domestic products to conquer foreign markets in about 134 countries. In particular, the European Union, China, countries of the African continent, Asia, South America. For these purposes, 300 million were allocated from the budget. The expected export proceeds from the implementation of these projects in 2022 will amount to about 1.5 billion rubles.

The subsidy will compensate for up to 80% of the costs of organizations for marketing research, legal support for export transactions, as well as language adaptation of Russian products, including the development of design, interface for IT products, registration and renewal of trademarks and international patents.

“The program was attended by 11 Russian companies, which received subsidies for the promotion, adaptation and certification of their products to the requirements of foreign markets. The program was approved at the end of 2019 and representatives of animation and cinematography were eagerly awaiting its launch. And we are glad to note that we managed to attract the attention of IT companies to the program. The participants passed a special selection for compliance with the requirements One of the recipients of the subsidy is the Rubius Group IT company, which offers a rather interesting product to support business. This is a Visius video platform that analyzes car and pedestrian traffic around a place and helps you choose a location for starting a business with the highest traffic. Russia is ready to enter foreign markets with a high-quality domestic product, ”said Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Vladimir Ilyichev.

According to him, the implementation of the program will help Russian companies to maintain and expand the number of jobs, and the state, in turn, will receive additional tax revenues.

“In addition, the promotion of the most successful Russian products abroad will contribute to the formation of a positive image of Russia,” the Deputy Minister stressed.

“We support the implementation of the program, because it is a huge contribution to the development of exports in the field of cinematography and creative industries. Companies receive support for the marketing component, the development and production of advertising products in foreign languages, their placement in the media and the Internet, for duplication and subtitling of audiovisual products. We are very pleased with the fact that some of the projects that have already received subsidies under this program have been supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Film Fund, for example, Belka and Strelka. Caribbean Mystery “,” Abigail “,” Goalkeeper of the Galaxy “,” Fixies “, – said the Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Maxim Ksenzov.

“It is extremely important to adapt Russian products for foreign markets, thereby increasing their competitiveness. Moreover, starting from dubbing and subtitling, ending with the localization of approaches to promotion. This approach will certainly help our manufacturers to expand their presence in foreign markets. This year, the Russian Ministry of Culture, together with ROSKINO, launched the Russian Film Festival Online project, within the framework of which the promotion of Russian films was adapted to the countries of the events – Australia, Mexico, Spain and Brazil. At the same time, it is important to increase transparency in the distribution of subsidies and to involve key industry leaders in making decisions of this kind, ”said Evgenia Markova, CEO of ROSKINO.
