Sylven Landesberg scored a game-high 49 points as the Zhejiang Golden Bulls beat the Qingdao Eagles 127-120 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Wednesday.
Landesberg shot 14 of 28 from the floor. Zhang Dayu notched 20 points and six rebounds, while Wu Qian and Zhu Xuhang each finished with 16 points.
Dakari Johnson led Qingdao with 29 points and 15 rebounds, Zhao Tailong added 19 points.
Landesberg scored 16 points, giving Zhejiang a 26-22 lead in the first quarter.
Qingdao head coach Wu Qinlong was ejected after receiving two consecutive technical fouls early in the second quarter. Zhejiang then built a 15-point advantage and led 58-50 at the break.
Qingdao came back strongly in the third quarter as Johnson made a layup to cut the deficit to two points. Zhejiang led 91-87 going into the last period after Zhang Dayu made two free throws.
Johnson grabbed an offensive rebound and made a layup for Qingdao with 9:28 minutes left to make it 95-94, the closest margin since the tip-off before Zhejiang answered with a 12-3 run to widen the gap to double-digit points again.
Zhejiang maintained the lead for the rest of the game, leaving Qingdao with no chance to complete the comeback.
