Until January 11, utilities are not planning any door-to-door rounds and checks.

During the New Year holidays in the capital, there are more cases when fraudsters try to get into the apartments of citizens, posing as employees of public utilities. Muscovites are asked to be careful and not fall for tricks.

“Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for fraudsters, posing as employees of various utilities, to come to the apartments of Muscovites, most often elderly people, pensioners, and offer services for replacing meters, checking gas stoves. At the same time, they often try to sell expensive equipment that can be dangerous during operation, “said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Utilities and Improvement

Petr Biryukov…

City services from December 31 to January 11 do not plan any door-to-door rounds and checks. In addition, utilities never come without warning, except in emergencies.

“Departures of specialists are carried out only at the request of citizens in case of emergency, the time of arrival is agreed. All sudden checks are illegal. If they came to you with such a check, then 100 percent of them are scammers, ”noted Pyotr Biryukov.

All information about checks is placed in advance on the information stand at the entrance and on the website of the engineering company that conducts it. You can clarify information about the departure of emergency teams by calling the relevant services.
