Today, in the conference hall of the Indoor Track and Field Athletics and Football Complex of the Central Sports Club of the Army, a New Year’s solemn meeting was held, dedicated to summing up the results of the FAU of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation CSKA for 2020.

The event was attended by the management, athletes, coaches, veterans and club employees.

Colonel Andrei Zykov, Head of the Physical Training and Sports Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants of the festive event with an opening speech. He sincerely thanked the CSKA team for the work done in 2020.

“The past year has become a difficult test for army sports. All competitions under the auspices of the International Council of Military Sports, under the auspices of the CIS, internal Russian competitions and a large number of competitions on the scale of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were canceled. CSKA staff made a huge contribution to the events that took place, for which many thanks to them. Separately, I would like to thank the CSKA team for their help in organizing and holding such a serious and large-scale international competition – the Elbrus Ring, – said Andrei Zykov. – As for the prospects for 2021, we need to focus our main efforts on preparing our national teams of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to participate in international tournaments under the auspices of CISM. While the competition is planned, it is necessary to organize a clear and high-quality preparation. Also, to devote next year to the preparation of national teams of cadets to participate in the III World Cadet Games in St. Petersburg, which were postponed to 2022. There is a lot of work to be done, but we understand what needs to be done. Of course, one of the main tasks for next year is to organize and hold a high-level World Boxing Championship among military personnel here in Moscow at the facilities of CSKA. Taking this opportunity, I would like to wish everyone good luck in sports and good health. “

Then the head of the Central Sports Club of the Army, Colonel Artem Gromov, made a report on the work done during the year and wished everyone a Happy New Year and Christmas.

“On my own behalf, I would like to wish everyone the most important health in the coming year, you and your families. So that all the plans, goals and tasks that we have outlined for ourselves are sure to be fulfilled. And we will have a little rest and with renewed vigor continue to deal with the tasks that have been entrusted to us and prove once again that CSKA is the strongest organization, “said Artem Valerievich.

As part of the event, Artem Gromov presented state and departmental awards to distinguished CSKA employees.
