“The Muscovites liked the program“ Our Tree ”very much, so the decision was made to plant trees twice a year, in spring and autumn, from next year. The period of the spring campaign started on July 1 “, – said the head of the capital
Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Anton Kulbachevsky.
Thus, those who want to plant a tree next spring will be able to apply not until December 31, but before January 15. In this regard, the beginning of the autumn campaign is changing – it will be possible to apply for planting a tree in the fall of 2021 not from January 1, but from January 16. The application campaign will run until June 30.
“Thanks to the extension of the spring application campaign, everyone will have time to make a present for themselves and their children during the New Year holidays and book a seedling and a park for planting it. The interest in the project among residents is growing dynamically: if in 2019 more than 2,300 trees were booked and planted, then in 2020 – 5,000. Already, for 2021, young parents have booked about 4,500 seedlings, and this is only for planting trees in the spring, ”said Dmitry Ivanov, Deputy Head
Department of Information Technology of Moscow.
The Our Tree project was developed by the Department of Information Technologies and the Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection. Apply the mos.ru website can be accessed by one of the parents who have been permanently registered in Moscow for three years from the date of the child’s birth. There you can also select a park, a site and a tree species for planting on the interactive map.
Participants of the action are offered 10-15-year-old seedlings of nine varieties. For example, rowan, small-leaved linden, Norway maple, common pine, white willow, pedunculate oak, home apple, common spruce and fruit pear. After choosing a site and a tree, you need to fill out a special electronic form in which you must provide information about the child and one of the parents. Within seven working days, the project participant will receive an answer indicating the period during which his tree will be planted.
