Servicemen – women of formations and military units of the Western Military District completed an intensive combat training program with elements of a survival course in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The training course consisted of a four-week program including theory, hands-on training and field outreach.

In the classroom, female military personnel were trained in ten disciplines: tactical, fire, engineering, physical, military-medical, topographic training, as well as RCB protection, terrain orientation and the basics of survival.

A feature of the field exit was the fulfillment of standards for the assembly and disassembly of an assault rifle, putting on a combined-arms protective kit, providing first aid to the wounded, and engineering training classes.

At the final stage of intensive training, the servicemen went through a psychological obstacle course with psychophysical impact, which included a 5 km march with exercises in throwing RGD-5 combat hand grenades, firing from Kalashnikov AK-74M assault rifles, and running in with a T-72B3 tank …

In total, in 2020, on the basis of the training center, more than 1,000 military personnel underwent training and additional training, of which over 30% are female military personnel.
