The Moscow State Services mobile application continues to gain popularity among residents of the capital. In 2020, the number of its users increased by more than 860 thousand. This is twice as much as in the previous year – then almost 400 thousand people registered in the application.
“During the coronavirus pandemic, the Moscow State Services application has become one of the important tools for residents to interact with the city. Today the number of its active users exceeds 2.3 million. The constant growth of the audience encourages us to improve the application and expand its functionality. In 2020, we released several useful updates for residents: it became possible to pay for electricity, sign up for the My Documents public service centers, and the function of ordering hot meals for a child at school. The development of the application will continue: next year we will add new useful functions to it “, – said the head of the Mobile Services project of the capital
Information Technology Department Oleg Filimonov.
This year, the most popular services among Muscovites were services for transmitting readings of electricity and water meters, paying for utility bills and viewing an electronic single payment document. In addition, users often went to the “Electronic Diary” section to check the grades and school assignments of children, and also made appointments for pets to see the veterinarian and looked at the schedule for turning off hot water.
How the app has changed this year
Function paying electricity bills appeared in the mobile application “Moscow State Services” in April. The new service has started working in the sections “Entering readings” and “My charges”. Prior to this, users of the application were only able to transfer readings of electricity meters, and they could pay for charges online exclusively on the mos.ru portal.
In the spring of 2020, the Appointment Appointment service was supplemented with the function online recordings for testing for antibodies to COVID-19 and for PCR testing to determine the presence of the virus. Users only need to select “COVID-19 Swab (PCR)” or “Blood (COVID-19 Antibodies)” and the time of appointment with the doctor from the list of specializations.
In addition, residents of the capital have the opportunity to sign up for a vaccination against coronavirus. The list of categories is constantly updated. From December 30 students over 18 years old, employees of the Moscow Construction Complex and citizens suffering from chronic diseases, the presence of which requires observing a home regime, can be vaccinated.
The Sputnik V vaccine is inoculated at 70 medical centers located at the city’s polyclinics. Online appointment for vaccination is also available in the section “Appointment with a doctor”. To an appointment with a specialist, you should take your passport, compulsory medical insurance policy and a document that confirms work in one of the listed industries.
The functionality of the Moscow State Services application has become more convenient for parents. Now they can, in a few clicks, pay for the education of children in circles, sports sections and houses of creativity… Electronic invoices are located in the “My charges” section of the service catalog in the “Education” tab. In addition, parents can choose the meals that their children will receive in the school cafeteria (this feature is available provided that the school is connected to a meal service from the menu). In the section “My child at school” you can compose menu for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea…
Some government services require a personal visit to My Documents offices. This applies to the registration and issuance of certain documents, such as a foreign passport or a birth certificate. So that Muscovites can choose a convenient time to visit and avoid waiting at the My Documents center, the Moscow State Services application has been supplemented with the function preliminary online registration… You can register for an appointment with a specialist in the “Public Service Centers” section of the “Public Service Centers” category.
In addition, since December, more than 20 types of charges have been displayed in the mobile application. Now you can pay for your home phone, Internet, transport charges, state duties and many other services here. So, for example, you can pay the state fee for the registration of marriage and rent of urban real estate. For the convenience of users, the accounts are located in one section – “My charges”.
What else will the “Moscow State Services” help?
With the help of the Moscow State Services application, users can pay car fines, find out information about the evacuation of a car, register a ready-made Muscovite card, make an appointment with a doctor, contact a single dispatch center for maintenance of the house and entrance, and much more.
You can set up notifications, for example, about a child’s purchases at a school cafeteria or grades, about the need to transfer meter readings, the beginning of a payment period for a single payment document, alerts in the event of a vehicle evacuation, and others.
You can download the Moscow State Services application in the App Store and Google Play. For authorization, it is enough to provide a mobile phone number and password. If you have a personal account on mos.ru with entered and verified data, all specified information is automatically synchronized with the application. If the data is not specified, the user, in order to receive all available services, will need to enter information about the apartment and car, the OMS policy number, date of birth and information about pets. This data can be entered immediately or added gradually.
Since its launch in 2012, the Moscow State Services application has been downloaded over six million times. Most of the audience is made up of Muscovites aged 25 to 54.
