On 14 December 2020, Deputy Chairman of the CEC of Russia Nikolai Bulaev held a videoconference with the heads of the election commissions of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and representatives of the Embassies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic in connection with the forthcoming elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and early elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, both on 10 January 2021.

The issue of assistance in organizing voting for citizens of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan who are or live in a number of regions of the Russian Federation was discussed.

The CEC sent letters to the relevant election commissions of the regions and to the Ministry of Interior of Russia with a request to provide the necessary assistance, including in organizing polling stations, taking into account sanitary and epidemiological requirements and ensuring public order during the voting.

Representatives of the Embassies of both Republics expressed their gratitude to the Central Election Commission of Russia and to the election commissions of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation for their support.
