30 December 2020

Who does this notice affect?

All brokers and importers who are awaiting clearance of import declarations (FID, LFSAC) lodged on Tuesday 29 December 2020 and Wednesday 30 December 2020.

Information

The department is continuing to experience IT issues (with AIMS and the Quarantine ruler) which is causing a delay to the processing of import declarations (FID, LFSAC) and will be affecting the processing of AEP and non-AEP entries. Additionally, these processing delays may cause errors with COLS (Cargo Online Lodgement System) when brokers or importers attempt to lodge documents.

Action

Until the current situation is resolved, clients are advised to direct all lodgement enquiries to ImportAssessment@agriculture.gov.au due to the potential for system unavailability and call dropouts.

This will also assist staff to direct their attention to processing lodgements. The department is continuing to address this issue as a high priority and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
