Albuquerque, N.M. – Congresswoman Deb Haaland (NM-01) released the following statement after the House of Representatives voted to override President Trump’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):
“While our President has turned his back to our troops, I commend my colleagues for continuing to support our service members and their families. The time and effort put into this bill have ensured that our country supports military families, addresses climate change threats, and sustains and creates New Mexico jobs. In a bipartisan show of support for our troops, Congress has voted to continue to give them the necessary tools to defend our country.”
