Headline: Covid-19: Two samples with a variant from South Africa discovered
In the past few days, a new variant of the coronavirus was discovered in Great Britain and South Africa, independently of each other. Since December 24th the variant from Great Britain was found in three samples in Switzerland. In further sequencing, the new variant from South Africa was detected for the first time in two samples.
