In 2020, in the combined arms army of the Eastern Military District, stationed in the Amur Region, Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomy, the intensity and quality of combat training increased. For the first time, all the exercises were held in a bilateral format, which involves the participation of two warring parties.
In total, during the year, more than 10 thousand field exercises and several hundred exercises and live firing were conducted in units, 6 of which were at the brigade level. The introduction of epidemiological restrictions did not significantly affect combat training. The workload of the polygons approached 100%, which indicates a round-the-clock combat training mode on them. Most of the exercises were rated “good” and “excellent” by representatives of higher headquarters.
The best results in combat training were achieved by motorized rifle and missile formations deployed in the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomy. This year, the rocketeers performed for the first time a practical group launch of missiles from the Iskander OTRK at the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan Region, having worked out a massive missile strike. All targets were successfully hit.
According to the results of the year, 15 divisions were recognized as “shock” ones. The best performance in the “International Army Games-2020” was achieved by the specialists of the RChBZ troops of the association. The calculation of special treatment successfully performed at the all-army stage, becoming its winner.
Next year, the intensity of combat training will remain with the transition to higher quality indicators. The struggle of units for the right to be called “shock” will continue. Participation in 24 competitions of field training “ARMI-2021” is planned. For several of them, tests have already begun in the formations and military units of the army.
