MIL OSI Translation. Government of the Republic of France statements from French to English –

Source: Republic of France in French The French Republic has issued the following statement:

On Monday December 21, 2020, the High Seas Patroller (PHM) Commandant Birot carried out a replenishment at sea (RAM) maneuver with the Maltese tanker Anuket Pearl as part of the Corymbe 155 mission.

Benefiting from optimal weather conditions off the Ghanaian coast, this unusual operation went off without a hitch and enabled the tanker to deliver 30 m3 of diesel to Commander Birot.

This practice involves first setting up a trailer between the two buildings, then pulling out a fuel hose and making the necessary connections. After an analysis on board the diesel supplied, the transfer can begin.

By mastering the maneuver, Commander Birot thus ensures that he can extend his operational availability if necessary.

Since 1990, France has deployed one or two vessels on a CORYMBE mission almost permanently in the Gulf of Guinea, in particular to help reduce maritime insecurity, by helping to build the capacity of navies bordering the Gulf and centers of the structure resulting from the Yaoundé process. The deployment of French buildings on a CORYMBE mission completes the French system stationed in West Africa and participates in the maritime component of operational cooperation implemented regionally by these presence forces.
