The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 70 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 69 are locally transmitted.

Among the local cases, 23 have unknown sources of infection.

The imported case involves an 18-year-old man who arrived in Hong Kong from the United Kingdom on December 7. He lives in Tower 3 of Tierra Verde in Tsing Yi.

One of the local cases involves a detainee of Castle Peak Bay Immigration Centre.
