Thanks to donations from users of the portal, it was possible to collect more than 850 thousand rubles, which were sent to help the wards of the funds.

An online meeting of the expert council on volunteerism and charity of the Public Chamber of Moscow was held on December 23. At it, representatives of non-profit organizations (NPO) spoke about the implementation of charitable programs and donations made with the help of service on the portal.

The project was created on the initiative of the capital’s NGOs. Now 19 organizations are registered in it, and six more will join before the New Year.

“Public organizations are actively using modern technologies, openly declaring themselves and their projects. I am glad that the charitable service has started its work so successfully – increasing the level of trust in NGOs and involving Muscovites in projects that are important for all of us, ”said Vadim Kovalev, Chairman of the Expert Council for Charity and Volunteering of the Public Chamber of Moscow.

She told about the results of the service and the amount of donations collected Ekaterina Dragunova, Chairman of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of Moscow.

“Since the launch of the project, the townspeople have made over four thousand payments for a total amount of more than 850 thousand rubles. Of these, almost three thousand transfers to charity were made simultaneously with payments for other services, such as utilities. The average amount of donations was about 210 rubles, ”she said.

Now the project is being finalized taking into account feedback from users and connected organizations. New features of the service will appear next year.

“We will improve the technological functionality of the service to make it as convenient as possible for participating organizations and for Muscovites who donate funds to charity programs. We will make a regular subscription to donations, give you the opportunity to transfer funds to several funds at once and share the result of payment in social networks with your friends, ”said the First Deputy Head of the Mayor and Government Administration of Moscow Evgeny Kozlov.

During the meeting, charities also presented reports on donations received.

One of the first to connect to the service was the Women for Life Foundation. The organization helps single mothers with small children and families in difficult life situations. Most of the funds raised were directed to humanitarian aid for families with many children. The foundation purchased food and hygiene products for a month, and paid rent for a woman with a newborn child.

Thanks to donations from Muscovites, assistance was provided to three wards of the Korablik Foundation. The guys underwent a medical examination and received the drugs necessary for treatment. Dmitry Akimov, executive director of the fund, believes that charity service is an indispensable support, because it allows you to attract even more people to good deeds.

The Nika Foundation for Helping Homeless Animals will use the funds raised to improve the conditions for keeping cats in the Wet Nose center. Now it is home to 100 animals. According to the president of the organization, Vera Mitina, the fact that the fund is represented in a charitable service is an indicator of the government’s trust, a guarantee that the donation will be used for its intended purpose.

Reports of charitable foundations on the implementation of programs by NGOs participating in the service will be posted on the portal “Soulful Moscow”…
