In the building of the Italian Palace (a branch of the Central Naval Museum “Kronstadt Fortress”) the exhibition “Kronshtadt in verses and colors. Watercolors by the artist Nadezhda BASHILOVA and verses by the poet Mikhail MEZHONNY” has opened.

A new exhibition of the Kronstadt professional artist Nadezhda Bashilova is offered to the attention of art lovers. The theme that excites the author is his beloved Kronstadt, its various views, corners dear to the hearts of the townspeople, monuments of industrial and fortress architecture, the nature of the Leningrad region and Karelia. The drawings were made by the author from nature in a realistic manner with watercolors and pastels.

At the exhibition, there is also an opportunity to get acquainted with the poems of the Kronstadt poet Mikhail Mezhonny, who has lived in our city since 1945, a writer, in the past – director of two secondary schools at once: 425-male and 426-female. He led a literary group at the base sailors ‘club, closely associated with the Leningrad Writers’ Organization. It trained sailors and officers of the battleship “October Revolution” and other military units.
