In the swimming pool of the Swimming Center in St. Petersburg, the Russian championship in swimming in a 25-meter pool has ended. The fifth and sixth competition days brought the army athletes 22 awards – 5 gold, 12 silver and 5 bronze, including as part of teams.
Army athlete Daria Vaskina excelled in the 50 m backstroke at the fifth day of the Russian 25-meter swimming championship in St. Petersburg. With the result of 26.41 seconds, the athlete of the Army Club bypassed Alexandra Kurilkina (26.94 seconds) and Arina Surkova (27.03 seconds).
Sergeant Irina Krivonogova with a score of 2 minutes 10.74 seconds became the best at a distance of 200 m in complex swimming. The silver medalist was Anna Chernysheva (2 minutes 11.12 seconds), the bronze – Alexandra Denisenko (2 minutes 11.14 seconds).
On the 50-meter butterfly, the second time – 22.60 seconds – was shown by the winner of the Universiade, champion of Russia Alexander Sadovnikov, losing only to Andrey Minakov (22.34 seconds). Roman Shevlyakov closed the top three (22.88 seconds).
Ensign Maria Temnikova, swimming 100-meter breaststroke in 1 minute 4.69 seconds. The victory was won by Evgeniya Chikunova (1 minute 4.35 seconds). The third place was taken by Nika Godun (1 minute 5.27 seconds).
Ivan Kuzmenko, private of the CSKA sports company, der. Vatutinki Yegor Pavlov and Sergeant Roman Larin, playing in the team of the Penza region, with a result of 1 minute 35.43 seconds became the silver medalists of the tournament in the combined relay race 4×50 m. The second place in the women’s 4×200 m freestyle relay was taken by the team of the Sverdlovsk region, which included Sergeant Daria Ustinova – 8 minutes 0.50 seconds. The first result – 7 minutes 52.16 seconds – was shown by athletes from St. Petersburg. Representatives of Moscow came in third – 8 minutes 5.32 seconds.
Ensign Rozalia Nasretdinova became the best in the 50 m freestyle distance on the sixth day of competition, showing a time of 24.22 seconds. The second was Arina Surkova (24.30 seconds), and the third was Daria S. Ustinova (24.49 seconds).
Lieutenant Svetlana Chimrova with a score of 56.52 seconds at a distance of 100 m butterfly rose to the first step of the podium in the national championship. Arina Surkova finished second (57.04 seconds). The third result was shown by Polina Malakhova (57.80 seconds).
At a distance of 200 m on the back, the best was a private of the CSKA sports company, Balashikha, Yegor Dolomanov – 1 minute 52.51 seconds. The silver medalist was soldier Roman Larin, who covered the distance in 1 minute 52.91 seconds. Nikita Babchenko took the bronze – 1 minute 53.03 seconds.
Maria Temnikova, showing a time of 2 minutes 18.28 seconds, became the second at a distance of 200 m breaststroke. The athlete of the Army Club lost only to Evgenia Chikunova (2 minutes 18.10 seconds), but was able to bypass Maria Astashkina (2 minutes 21.15 seconds).
Ensign Vladislav Grinev became the silver medalist of the Russian championship, showing the second result in the 100-meter freestyle – 46.37 seconds. The victory was won by Evgeny Rylov – 46.35 seconds. Ivan Girev closed the top three – 46.75 seconds.
Also, Grinev as part of the Moscow team became the second in the combined men’s 4×100 m relay. Vladislav’s team showed a time of 3 minutes 28.57 seconds, losing to local athletes (3 minutes 25.56 seconds). The third were representatives of the Penza region, including Roman Larin and Yegor Pavlov – 3 minutes 30.65 seconds.
Arina Openysheva as part of the Krasnoyarsk Territory team became the third in the women’s 4×50 m freestyle relay – 1 minute 39.38 seconds, losing to the athletes from St. Petersburg (1 minute 38.15 seconds) and the Novosibirsk region (1 minute 38.36 seconds).
In the women’s combined 4×100 m relay, the Moscow team, which included Svetlana Chimrova and Rozalia Nasretdinova, took the second place, showing a time of 3 minutes 56.19 seconds. The hosts of the tournament prevailed – 3 minutes 54.19 seconds. Athletes from the Novosibirsk Region, including the multiple world and European champion Vitalina Simonova, climbed to the third step of the podium – 3 minutes 57.48 seconds.
