Servicemen of the combined arms army of the Western Military District took the oath of a youth soldier from more than 130 schoolchildren of the Bogucharsky district on the Day of the liberation of the city of Boguchar from the Nazi invaders, in which two streets are named after young partisans.

The solemn ceremonies were held on the territory of schools and lyceums of the Bogucharsky district in compliance with the requirements of the sanitary and epidemiological situation: the number of sites for taking the oath of the Yunarmeys was increased in order to avoid a large crowd of people, all participants observed social distance and used medical masks. Representatives of the administration of the Bogucharsky district, veteran organizations, as well as the command of the Bogucharsky garrison attended the event as special guests.

When they joined the ranks of the Youth Army, children and youths vowed to honor and protect the memory of the heroes of the Motherland, always defend the weak and be ready to be loyal to their Fatherland. After the completion of the solemn ceremony, the youth soldiers were presented with distinctive signs and certificates of registration in the children’s and youth patriotic social movement.

In the city of Boguchar, from the first days of the war until the occupation by the Nazi invaders, on July 10, a militia regiment was organized. In the first two weeks of the occupation, 2 partisan detachments were created. The guys got intelligence, crossed the front line several times. Later, some of them were sent to a reconnaissance school and became members of the “People’s Avenger” partisan detachment. Among them are Klava Veremeeva, Tasya Popova, Daria Kalashnikova, Evgenia Avtonomova. Klava and Tasya died in the battles, and the streets of Boguchar are named after them.
