In the Cheryomushki area, a project for the overhaul of an underground pedestrian crossing at the address: Novocheremushkinskaya street, house 66, building 1 has been approved. This was reported by Anna Yakovleva, head Mosgosexpertiza.
The slabs of the parapets, landings and steps of the stairs will be completely replaced, and the walls of the tunnel and two staircases will be faced with granite tiles with an anti-vandal coating. The tunnel floor will also be updated, the ceilings will be painted with acrylic paint. The office premises will be equipped with new doors, insulated floors and ceramic tiles, and painted walls and ceilings.
“As part of the modernization of engineering systems, electric lighting and electrical equipment will be replaced in full. LED lights will be used to illuminate the crossing, and they can be controlled both in manual and automatic modes. An electrical heating system for staircases and pedestrian crossings will be created. The system is based on heating sections with a self-regulating cable. The control of this system will be automatic – with temperature and precipitation sensors, ”added Anna Yakovleva.
To make it convenient for people with limited mobility to use the crossing, warning signs, concrete tactile plates and signal stripes applied with a special compound will appear on the approaches to it – it forms a rough, non-slip yellow coating. In addition, the stairs are equipped with wheelchair ramps and handrails.
During work, pedestrians will be able to move along existing sidewalks and pedestrian paths, and to cross the carriageway – along a temporary ground crossing. The project also provides for the installation of temporary road signs and temporary road markings.
