Order of December 21, 2020 No. 3472-r

Aleksandr Isaevich, Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the City of Moscow, has been appointed the new General Director of the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SME Corporation). The order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The head of the corporation, Alexander Braverman, was relieved of his post due to his transfer to another job.

The order fixes a number of other changes in the corporate governance structure. Thus, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov becomes the chairman of the board of directors. The Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, who held this post, together with the General Director of UniZoo, Dmitry Bavinov, will join the Board of Directors.

The SME Corporation is one of the largest Russian development institutions. With its help, the state provides support to representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.

As part of the reform of development institutions, the SME Corporation will join another, larger development institution – VEB.RF, on the basis of which a powerful investment block will be created to stimulate economic growth.
