Participants of the events will be able not only to learn more about charity, but also to help the wards of the foundations.

This week, residents of the capital will be able to recharge with New Year’s mood, watch and discuss documentaries about charity. Students will also learn about sledge hockey and how to find hosts for stray animals.

On December 22, at 18:30, a free lecture “We must attach!” for volunteers, animal protection organizations and all animal lovers. Participants of the event will learn what responsibilities the curator of a homeless animal has, how to find an owner, as well as the rules for the rescue and socialization of pets. On December 23, at 20:00, an online charity meeting dedicated to the New Year will take place. Together with the host, the participants of the event will listen to Christmas stories, recall poems and films on New Year’s themes. Participation fee is 1000 rubles. All proceeds will be used for New Year gifts for children from foster families. To participate you need register.

Also on December 23 at 20:00 an online screening of the film “Woodcarving” will take place. The documentary tells the story of an artist who stepped down as art director of a famous company 18 years ago to open woodcarving circles in several nursing homes in Israel. After watching, viewers will be able to discuss the film with the hosts of the cinema club. Participation is free, but advance is required registration.

On December 24, at 12:00, the coach of the children’s sledge hockey league will tell you how athletes with disabilities train. Students will learn how the training process and the schedule of classes are structured, what equipment is needed to practice sledge hockey and what opportunities special hockey opens up for children and adolescents with disabilities. The next literary evening “House with a lighthouse” will take place on December 25 at 18:00. The guest of the evening will be theater and film actor Sergei Garmash. The actor will share his impressions of the novel “Demons” by Fyodor Dostoevsky, read an excerpt from it and tell why the book made a strong impression on him.
