In the swimming pool of the Swimming Center in St. Petersburg, the drawing of the Russian swimming championship in a 25-meter pool continues. The result of the fourth competition day for the athletes of the Army Club was 11 medals of various denominations – 3 silver and 8 bronze.
Daria Vaskina became the silver medalist of the Russian swimming championship in 25-meter pool, showing the second result – 25.87 seconds – at a distance of 50 m butterfly. Vaskina lost to Arina Surkova (25.31 seconds), but bypassed her teammate, warrant officer Rosalia Nasretdinov (25.91 seconds).
Warrant officer Daniil Pakhomov finished second at a distance of 100 m with a result of 52.82 seconds. Ensign Semyon Makovich climbed to the third step of the podium with 53.14 seconds. Oleksandr Schegolev took the lead, showing a time of 52.28 seconds.
Army swimmer Ivan Kuzmenko became the bronze medalist of the 50 m freestyle tournament. The time of 21.41 seconds did not allow the army swimmer to bypass Daniil Markov (21.35 seconds) and Ivan Girev (21.36 seconds), who took first and second places, respectively.
Also Ivan Kuzmenko, performing in the team of the Penza region (Kuzmenko, private sports company of CSKA, Vatutinki village Yegor Pavlov, Sergeant Roman Larin and Alexander Kharlanov), became the third in the 4×50 m freestyle relay. With the result of 1 minute 27.84 seconds, the army team lost to the representatives of the Novosibirsk region (1 minute 26.73 seconds) and Moscow (1 minute 27.05 seconds).
In the 4×200 m relay, representatives of Moscow took the second place, including ensign Vladislav Grinev, who showed a time of 6 minutes 58.64 seconds. The team of the Republic of Tatarstan, which included a private CSKA sports company, Samara, Alexander Obsharov, took the third step of the podium – 7 minutes 5.90 seconds. Athletes from St. Petersburg took the lead – 6 minutes 58.14 seconds.
Also, the bronze medalist of the national championship was the private of the CSKA sports company, St. Petersburg Pavel Samusenko, who showed the third time – 23.69 seconds – at a distance of 50 m on the back. Evgeny Rylov took the lead (22.76 seconds), Mark Nikolaev won the silver medal (23.19 seconds).
