The mobile hospital of the Russian Ministry of Defense has fulfilled its tasks to provide assistance in the fight against COVID-19 in South Ossetia.
Since the operation of the mobile hospital, about 200 patients have been cured, more than 2 thousand PCR studies, 1.6 thousand laboratory tests have been carried out, the specialists of the mobile hospital have provided outpatient consultations to about 1.5 thousand people.
“The epidemiological situation in the republic has stabilized, there is a decline in the incidence. The personnel of the mobile hospital coped with the task in full, ”said the head of the mobile hospital, lieutenant colonel of the medical service Rasul Murtazaliev.
The personnel of the hospital thanked the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov for their help in the fight against coronavirus: “Thank you for helping South Ossetia to fight the coronavirus infection at this difficult time. Every day you conquer this disease. We are very grateful to you for your personal dedication, high professionalism and attention shown in helping the people of South Ossetia in the fight against coronavirus. About 120 military specialists from the Western Military District, headed by the head of the multifunctional mobile hospital, Rasul Murtazaliev, received medals of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of South Ossetia “For military cooperation” and “For service in guarding peace in South Ossetia”, as well as letters of thanks, diplomas and certificates.
A column of the mobile hospital of the Western Military District arrived in South Ossetia on October 27, 2020 to provide medical care to patients with COVID-19 at the request of the regional leadership.
The next day, the Russian military deployed a 100-bed mobile hospital in Tskhinvali on the territory of the Olymp stadium to treat those infected with coronavirus infection. To carry out medical and diagnostic measures, the hospital is equipped with artificial ventilation devices, monitors for intensive observation of patients, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.
The mobile multidisciplinary hospital is a field medical unit designed for inpatient treatment of patients with various pathologies, including an infectious one.
