Nakhimovites took part in an online game on geography dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the discovery of the Antarctic coast by Russian navigators F.F Bellingshausen and M.F. Lazarev, which was conducted among pupils of pre-university educational organizations of St. Petersburg. The game was organized by the St. Petersburg Cadet Corps “Boarding School for Pupils of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.”
The game was attended by 6 teams, two teams from three educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense: the Nakhimov Naval School, the Cadet Corps “Boarding School” and the St. Petersburg Suvorov Military School.
The teams were preliminarily given tasks on the topic “Antarctica”. Two teams of the Nakhimov Naval School – “Mirny” and “Vostok” conscientiously prepared for the game.
The “Mirny” team included pupils of the 5th grade: Matvey Zarechnov, Tamerlan Kozlovsky, Vladislav Lyubvin, Kirill Smorygo, Vadim Shcherbakov. Team “East” is represented by pupils of the 5th grade: Dmitry Antonov, Gleb Zherebtsov, Radomir Kurilov, Andrey Lisyutkin, Ilya Nikitin. In three rounds, the teams answered questions about Antarctica, deciphered geographic objects, and created collages.
According to the results of the game, the first place was taken by the “Mirny” team of the Nakhimov Naval School. The leadership of NVMU congratulated the pupils of the 5th grade and their teacher of geography Nina Kirichenko, as well as the teacher-organizer Svetlana Yakovleva.
