In Kamchatka, the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet began basic training for the crews of nuclear submarines.

At the nuclear-powered ships located at the basing point, drills are conducted to fight for damage in the event of a fire, water entering the compartment, as well as to rescue the crew from a conditionally damaged boat.

During the training, submariners work out the standards for sealing the emergency compartment, putting on personal protective equipment, creating defense lines, actions when localizing and extinguishing a fire in the compartment and leaving the crew through torpedo tubes.

In addition, the personnel of the emergency compartment check the spare communication with the adjacent compartments and the central post.

Practicing damage control skills is a mandatory element of basic crew training before submarines go to sea.
