Six players scored double-digit points to help Jiangsu smash Daqing 100-26 to return to the top of the table, while Shandong defeated Hebei 85-65 in the 17th round of the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) on Saturday.
Jiangsu led the game from the first quarter by 24-6, and extended the advantage in the next three quarters to put the game beyond doubt, while Daqing didn’t get double-digit points in any quarter during the game.
Gong Li pocketed a game-high 25 points and 18 rebounds for Jiangsu, and Xu Chenyan added 13 points and 12 rebounds. Liang Jiamei, Jin Weina and Chen Xiaojia bagged 13, 12 and 10 points. Cao Yunjing got six points as the highest scorer for Daqing.
Shandong trounced Hebei 85-65 thanks to Cao Junwei’s 23 points, Yang Hengyu’s 19 points and Wang Yingzhu’s 18 points.
Shandong led the first quarter by 32-12 and never looked back. Hebei won the second and fourth quarter, but they still didn’t reverse the game.
Another game on Saturday saw Shanxi smash Fujian 100-68 with four players scoring double-digit points. Lai Yiting pocketed a game-high 22 points for Fujian.
