On December 18, 2020, the presentation of the book “Rescue services of the region of Tula masters: history and modernity” took place at the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Tula Region.

The event was attended by the leadership and veterans of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Tula Region, the author’s team of the book, as well as those with whose direct support the publication of this unique publication became possible.

The presentation of the publication is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the country’s emergency department.

The book describes the prehistory of the creation of emergency services from the fire brigade of the times of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, the historical period of the Great Patriotic War – the formidable years in which the local air defense of the country was born – is not ignored.

Significant anniversaries are separately highlighted in the book – 75 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, 120 years since the birth of the legendary Marshal of the Soviet Union Vasily Chuikov, 55 years of the formation of the Tula Rescue Center, 25 years of the All-Russian movement “School of Security” and the search and rescue service Tula region. The chapters on these dates have been updated with new information.

The memories of the veterans of the Russian Emergencies Ministry touch on the most significant events in their lives and work, as well as significant events in the development of the rescue units of the Tula region, about the Tula people who gave their lives to save others.

A great contribution to the creation and publication of the book was made by teachers of educational institutions of the Tula region, the regional branch of the All-Russian public-state organization “Russian military-historical society”, representatives of a number of Tula enterprises and institutions.
