Death threats, forced recruitment by gangs, extortion and other forms of targeted violence are driving more families in northern Central America to flee their homes in search of safety in other countries , according to a new study by the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
