At the Department of Military Orchestral Service of the Military Institute (military conductors) of the Military University, the 1st round of the creative competition for conducting musical works of the service and combat repertoire, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, was held among cadets.

The competition is held with the aim of developing a military conducting school, supporting the creative activity of cadets, as well as stimulating competition among students to improve their professional training.

Cadets of the 4th and 5th courses took part in the 1st round of the competition. The accompanists performed works used in military rituals, as well as the best examples of marching music by domestic and foreign composers.

When conducting musical works of the service-marching repertoire, the cadets showed the ability to reveal the artistic and figurative content of the musical works performed, possession of specific conducting techniques.

All the participants of the competition demonstrated high professional skills. The best, according to the commission, were cadets Maxim Ritter, Artyom Muravyov, Rodion Divak, Vladislav Gushchin, Igor Klyunnikov, Munkh-Orgil Chimeddorzh. They went to the 2nd round of the competition.
