Servicemen of the air defense unit of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District at a training exercise in the Kemerovo region repelled an air attack of a simulated enemy at low altitudes from Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile systems.

According to the concept of the exercise, the conditional enemy planned an air attack on a military equipment column returning to the point of permanent deployment. To do this, the “enemy” used a group of attack drones that moved at different speeds at low altitudes. The calculations of the Strela-10 air defense missile system and the Shilka air defense system, which were part of the convoy, ensured the destruction of air targets at a distance of up to 2500 meters and an altitude of up to 1500 meters.

The exercise involved about 500 servicemen and more than 30 pieces of military equipment.

41 OA TsVO is deployed in the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk regions, Altai Territory and the Republic of Tyva. It includes motorized rifle, artillery formations, air defense troops, RChBZ and communications.
