Source: Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs The Federal Cabinet today approved the Federal Government’s report on the status of health and safety at work and on accident and occupational diseases in the Federal Republic of Germany in 2019 must be submitted annually, the reports of the accident insurance institutions and the health and safety authorities of the federal states are received. The report “Safety and health at work – reporting year 2019”, to be submitted by December 31, 2020, shows the changes in occupational health and safety in Germany as an update of the previous year’s report. In addition to numerous statistics (on accidents at work, occupational diseases, inability to work due to illness, retirement due to reduced employment, etc.), the activities of the most important occupational safety actors such as the Joint German Occupational Safety Strategy (GDA), the industrial safety authorities of the federal states and the statutory accident insurance providers (UVT) are described. The activities of the New Quality of Work initiative (INQA) are also presented.
