Do you want to see the average rent for an apartment or a house in town or in the countryside with an official tool? The Ministry of Housing offers an interactive map showing the price of rent per m2, charges included in the private rental stock throughout the territory.
Appointment on the website of the Ministry of Housing to choose to consult the rent of an apartment or that of a house. Once the town has been chosen on the map, the amount per m2 appears at the bottom, with a variation of 7 classes. The “key” tool allows you to customize the thresholds and the number of classes. You can display the result in a new tab directing you to the Geoclip tool of the Territorial Observatory.
This map was constructed from data published over the 2015-2019 period from 3 private specialized websites. The indicators produced were compared with data from the local rent observatories (OLL). They are provided charges included for typical goods leased in the 3rd quarter of 2018 with the following characteristics:
for an apartment: an area of 49 m² and an average area per room of 22.1 m²;
for a house: an area of 92 m² and an average area per room of 22.5 m².
This map will be updated every 2 years by ANIL, in conjunction with the partners and the Ministry in charge of Housing.
Note: Users are encouraged to consider rent indicators with caution in municipalities where the coefficient of determination (R2) is less than 0.5, the number of observations in the municipality is less than 30 or the interval of prediction is very broad.
Note: Until now, no rental indicator has covered the entire national territory. Only the rents practiced in the 51 main agglomerations located in tense zones were published by the local Rent Observatories.
