Residents between the ages of 18 and 60 who have a Moscow compulsory medical insurance policy or are attached to the city clinic can get vaccinated against coronavirus.

From December 21, employees of industrial enterprises, the transport complex and media workers will be able to get vaccinated against coronavirus. Said about it Mayor of Moscow during a visit to the vaccination point, which is located in the city polyclinic number 68. Moscow became one of the first cities in the world, where a free large-scale vaccination against COVID-19 was organized. Since December 5, those who are in daily contact with people and, accordingly, are at the maximum risk of infection – teachers, doctors and social workers – began to receive vaccinations. Since December 11, this list includes employees of multifunctional centers, culture, trade and services.

“Moscow is the first city in the world to start large-scale vaccination. We have given the opportunity to vaccinate against covid for groups of the population who work in the field of education, health care, trade and services, cultural institutions, and from Monday such an opportunity will appear for workers in the industrial sector, transport and the media. So active vaccination in Moscow continues. 70 vaccination centers equipped with all necessary equipment have been opened. Today, about 15 thousand people have already been vaccinated, and vaccination continues quite actively, ”said

Sergei Sobyanin.

One of those who have been vaccinated against coronavirus today is the Russian director and actor, artistic director of the Moscow Oleg Tabakov Theater, Vladimir Mashkov. He noted that he feels great after vaccination.

“I am very glad that I was one of the first to get this vaccine. We all live in different kinds of fears. This one that has attacked us lately – we need to get rid of it. All the more so for those who work directly with large teams. I do not just recommend and advise everyone, this is such a direct request: take care of the health of yourself and your closest people, protect yourself, get vaccinated. Believe me, this is correct, this is the most correct thing that can be done in our time, ”said Vladimir Mashkov.

For the procedure, Moscow uses the Gam-COVID-Vac (Sputnik V) vaccine, developed by the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamalei. 3.9 billion rubles were allocated for the purchase of one and a half million doses of vaccine from the reserve fund of the Moscow Government. The budget for 2021 provides 10 billion rubles for these purposes.

On the basis of urban adult polyclinics, 70 vaccination points have been deployed. As the scale of vaccination increases, their number may be increased to 170. Vaccination rooms are open daily from 08:00 to 20:00.

You can sign up on the portals, or through the infomat at the clinic. Everyone can choose the most suitable method for themselves – on the website, in the mobile application or by phone.

Residents aged 18 to 60 can be vaccinated against coronavirus with a Moscow compulsory medical insurance policy or attached to a city clinic. People over 60 will be vaccinated at a later date.

People who signed up for the procedure should not have certain chronic diseases and be sick with ARVI two weeks before vaccination. At least 30 days should have elapsed since the last vaccination, such as against the flu. Pregnant and breastfeeding women cannot be vaccinated.

The “Sputnik V” drug consists of two components, therefore vaccination is carried out in two stages to form a reliable immune response. The second component of the vaccine is administered 21 days after the first.

You do not need to make an appointment for a second vaccination – the doctor will do it himself at the first visit. A day before he will receive an SMS with a reminder, which will contain information about the date, time and the clinic where you need to come.

As of December 16, more than 13 thousand people received the vaccine.

Vaccine storage and delivery

Particular attention is paid to compliance with the rules and requirements for the delivery and storage of the vaccine.

To the pharmacy warehouse No. 2 of the Center for drug supply Moscow Department of Health the vaccine is delivered in compliance with the cold chain in thermal containers at a temperature of minus 20 degrees. To control the temperature regime, UTRIX-16 recording thermal indicators are used.

At the pharmacy warehouse, the vaccine is taken in a validated freezer, in which the temperature is maintained at minus 25 degrees.

Each package of vaccine is scanned and information about it is transmitted to the drug movement monitoring system. In order to strictly adhere to storage conditions, scanning is carried out inside the freezer.

The vaccine is transported to medical institutions by specialized validated vehicles in medical thermal containers TM-80 “Thermo-Kont MK”. The temperature regime and the cold chain during delivery are monitored using TRID30-7F recording thermal indicators.

At the final point of delivery, the drug is loaded into specially purchased medical freezers ММШ-220 POZIS with recording thermal indicators. Each package is also scanned and the data is transferred to the drug movement monitoring system.

Post-marketing clinical trial of COVID-19 vaccine

The Moscow City Healthcare Department together with the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Honorary Academician N.F. Gamaleya and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation organized a clinical study of the effectiveness, immunogenicity and safety of the combined vector vaccine “Gam-COVID-Vac”.

The aim of the study is to determine the safety of the immunogenicity and the virus-neutralizing activity of the vaccine. In addition, a third phase of the study is being conducted to expand the use of the vaccine in people over 60 years of age.

20 medical organizations of the Moscow City Health Department and four private clinics received accreditation certificates for the right to conduct clinical trials. All of them meet international requirements, research centers have been set up in them, chief researchers and research doctors have been identified.

Up to 40 thousand people will be able to take part in the study. The volunteer participation period is six months and includes two vaccinations. A mobile application “Volunteer Diary” was specially developed for its implementation, which is installed during a patient’s visit.

On September 7, screening began in medical organizations with the aim of forming the first group of volunteers who will be injected with the drug. Vaccination of volunteers began on September 9. As of December 15, 27.4 thousand volunteers received the vaccine.
