The carriageway will be expanded to 14 meters. There will also be parking spaces and modern public transport stops.
Botanicheskaya Street is being reconstructed in Moscow. The work will take place on the section from Akademika Korolev Street to the interchange at Komdiva Orlova Street. This will not only improve the quality of the urban environment, but also ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians. This was reported by Juliana Knyazhevskaya, Chairman of the Moskomarkhitektura.
According to her, now the traffic capacity of the street has reached its limit. On the section from Kashenkin Lug street to the interchange on Komdiva Orlova street, the width of the carriageway is only 10.5 meters. There is one lane in each direction. This does not correspond to the standards for streets of district significance, on which public transport is organized.
The reconstruction will take place on a section of about three kilometers. As a result, the carriageway will be widened to 14 meters, and two more lanes will be added.
The project also provides for the arrangement of parking spaces and public transport stops. New traffic lights will appear: opposite the main entrance to the Botanical Garden, at the intersection of Botanicheskaya and Malaya Botanicheskaya streets and next to the bus stop near house number 33 on Botanicheskaya street. This will ensure the safety of citizens who walk and play sports in the park.
“The interconnected pedestrian network to be created here will make the city’s main points of attraction more accessible. And the network of bicycle paths, envisaged in the framework of the project, will unite the Ostankino railway platform and the main entrance of the Main Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences, ”added Yuliana Knyazhevskaya.
The largest underground passage was built this year in Marfin
