More than 454 thousand payers of professional income tax are registered in the capital
For 11 months of 2020, the number self-employed in the capital increased by 260 thousand people. In total, more than 454 thousand payers of professional income tax are registered in Moscow, which is twice as much as in the whole of 2019, and almost 35 percent of the total number of self-employed in Russia.
“Throughout October and November, Moscow registered a record growth in the number of self-employed people over the entire period of this tax regime – 29 thousand people a month. Self-employed people receive the right to conduct legal professional activities and at the same time pay taxes in the amount of four percent on income received from individuals and six percent on income from individual entrepreneurs and legal entities. This year, as part of federal support during the COVID-19 pandemic, self-employed people were provided tax capital to pay taxes in 2020 and paid taxes for 2019 refunded.
“The incomes of the self-employed are also growing. So, as of December 1, 2020, their total income amounted to 102.6 billion rubles, the average check size since the beginning of the year has increased by 22 percent.
