At the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School, tactical classes were held with the development of tasks for the capture of critically important objects of a simulated enemy. Groups of cadets were transferred by helicopter to the training ground and successfully operated, landing from the air.

According to the terms of the exercise, the Marines had to neutralize the fortified artillery firing positions and the communications center of the conditional enemy, occupied at an advantageous line.

Groups of marines were promptly delivered to the landing area using Mi-8 helicopters, where they jumped with a modern D-10 parachute and descended from a hovering helicopter on special cables. After landing at different points, groups of cadets stormed the “enemy” positions. The task was successfully completed.

The exercise was held at the Far East VOKU training ground in the Amur Region. The tasks were worked out in conditions of steady low temperatures of – 25 degrees Celsius. In total, about 500 military personnel took part in the exercise.
