Servicemen of the electronic warfare (EW) units of the motorized rifle unit of the 41st combined-arms army (OA) of the Central Military District (CVD), while practicing practical tasks for tactical and special training at a training ground in the Kemerovo region, staged an electronic blockade of a conditional illegal armed formation (IAF) with the help of modern electronic warfare systems “Borisoglebsk-2” and “Zhitel”.

According to the drawing of the tactical episode, the servicemen of the electronic warfare units, as part of maneuver groups, marched on standard equipment to the positional area to conduct technical reconnaissance and observation in order to determine the location of the combat groups of the conditional illegal armed formations and the nature of their upcoming actions. In the course of fulfilling the missions, the intentions of the “enemy” about the forthcoming attack on the disposition of troops using attack aircraft were revealed. EW specialists, using the Borisoglebsk and Zhitel complexes, staged an electronic blockade of a conditional illegal armed group and disrupted the operation of all its technical means: VHF and HF radio networks, subscriber terminals for cellular communications, control channels for reconnaissance and attack drones, radio bridges and Wi-Fi access points. Intelligence about the location of the mock enemy was transferred to a higher headquarters for their further destruction.

More than 200 servicemen and about 30 units of military equipment were involved in the exercise.

41 OA TsVO is deployed on the territory of Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk regions, Altai Territory and the Republic of Tyva. It includes motorized rifle, artillery formations, air defense troops, RChBZ and communications.
