The illegal activities of several persons held in one of the Moscow pre-trial detention centers were revealed by employees of the Internal Security Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. Currently, in cooperation with the FSB of Russia, a check has begun on information on the involvement of suspects in the activities of the so-called AUE movement, recognized as extremist and banned on the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to the information received, these persons, being in places of detention, in the interests of the extremist movement AUE, violated the established order of detention, imposed a criminal ideology, expressed in denial of generally accepted moral principles and the dominant role of law, propaganda of violence and enmity. In addition, in order to finance the indicated movement banned in Russia, these citizens regularly extorted money from detainees, including under threat of violence.

Earlier, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia warned that in connection with the entry into force of the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on the recognition of the international public movement “Prisoner Criminal Unity” (also known by such abbreviations as AUE, AUE, etc.) extremist and the prohibition of its activity on the territory of Russia, the participation of persons serving sentences and detainees in the activities of this organization will be suppressed in accordance with the norms of the current legislation.
